Since 5d does not come with a flash, I ordered a Canon Speedlite 580EX II yesterday. It is supposed to arrive tomorrow. Will try it out then

Eventually I have (almost) settled down in Boston. I am now living in a studio on Kelton street, around 3 miles from MIT campus. It is close to a T station (green line), thus going to MIT should not be so painful.

This is my first time being in Boston. I will spend some time exploring the city

I am at SIGGRAPH 2010 in LA now. The weather here is fantastic! I do not have any paper to present this year, so I can enjoy watching paper presentations and other interesting stuff

Finally ordered a Canon EOS 5d mark ii from newegg. And the available credit for my credit card has dropped to $6

Now I have to use cash for a couple of days >_<

I am finally back in the States. Now I have a pretty long to-do list:

1. clean my room (and get ready for moving)
2. do some regular maintenance for my car
3. pick up a package from the post office
4. return cable TV equipments
5. purchase a new DSLR

Have to finish the above within two days before heading to LA for attending SIGGRAPH T_T

I have eventually finished the summer internship at Microsoft Research Asia and will be back in the States within a week. Now start (continue?) worrying about housing in Boston…

2009年总结

这是第二次（年）写年度总结了。看看去年的年度总结，感觉时间过得真快！

相比 2008，2009 是略显平淡的一年。工作方面，这一年主要的时间都花在了上课、助教以及 research project 上。尽管 2009 年又发了一篇 SIGGRAPH 和一篇 SIGGRAPH Asia paper，但仍未摆脱万年 co-author 的命运。明年需要继续努力 >_< 在这一年里，我 take 了两门 graphics 课和一门 theory 课，总得来说还算轻松（俩学期上仨门课当然轻松了-_-b）

娱乐方面，Ithaca 这小地方娱乐项目确实不多。所以 2009 年的娱乐还是以宅在家里为主。Galgame 几乎没有进展，不过倒是捡起了 WoW（美服），同时入手了神机3 和 FF13。此外，暑假回国、去 NYC 看 US Open Men’s Final 以及圣诞假期去 Florida 旅行大概是这一年里为数不多的非宅娱乐吧

生活上，因为不满 Ithaca 中国餐馆的中餐质量，同时基于自己可怜的收入，开始认真学习 cooking 了。目前初步掌握的菜包括：水煮牛/猪肉，红油百叶，红烧肉和孜然鸡胗（炒）。
